Shell Ginger extract

Shell Ginger (Alpinia zerumbet) is a tropical perennial plant. This miraculous plant is packed with dozens of polyphenols such as Chlorogenic acid, Ferulic acid, Quercetin, Epicatechin, Catechin, Arbutin, and Kaempferol. Arbutin helps to prevent melanin biosynthesis and thus prevents the formation of melanin, which leads to a whitening effect.

Shell ginger extract also shows strong inhibitory activities against skin disease-related enzymes including collagenase, elastase, hyaluronidase, and tyrosinase. Kavalactones found in Shell Ginger could be used as a potent inhibitor and can be further exploited to be used in anti-skin disease formulations. Another compound, kaempferol has also been found as a potent chemo-preventive agent against skin cancer.

Glycine

Even though you may not be familiar with this term but you are using glycine every day to strengthen the body. In fact, it is essential for different muscle functions, cognitive functions, and metabolic functions. Glycine is an amino acid and is an important building block for proteins.

As one of the key component of Tama Shan, Glycine has many advantages for the skin. It has been proved to improve the skin elasticity significantly and improve skin moisture and water loss. Glycine also doubles the speed of healing of skin ulcers. Glycine has also been studied to enhance wound healing in animal models.

Mucin

Mucin is high molecular weight glycosylated protein which is produced by epithelial tissues in animals. They are the chief ingredient of most of the gel-like secretions in the body and provide lubrication, maintaining tissue hydration, protecting underlying cells from infection, and promoting or inhibiting cell attachment to the substratum.

Mucin keeps the skin by hydrating, preventing aging and improving (decreasing) wrinkles, repairing photodamage and is especially helpful for mature skin, acne, uneven skin tone, and acne scarring. It also has anti-microbial properties that help to avoid bacteria.

Lactoferrin

Do you know that Tama Shan contains this important immune supporting Glycoprotein that is also found in mother’s breast milk? Lactoferrin is a type of iron-binding glycoprotein that is mostly secreted from bodily fluids including milk, saliva, tears, vaginal fluids, semen, secretions from lungs and nose, bile, digestive juices, and urine.

Lactoferrin has a very important role in improving the acne conditions without drying of the skin. Many studies suggest lactoferrin improves the skin acne and inflammatory conditions drastically.

Vegetable Squalene

Squalene is a very important organic compound for maintaining the healthy skin. Squalene is a precursor to the production of important lipids and is a key component in the maintenance of youthful skin. Our body contains squalene naturally. Do you know why we need the extra topical application of additional squalene?- The answer is simple; to help boost the wonderful benefits of Squalene. Squalene keeps the skin hydrated and helps to decrease the wrinkles and other gaining signs.

Vegetable squalene is a highly beneficial ingredient to help enhance the skin. It is highly recommended for use in the treatment of skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema.

Proteoglycan

Proteoglycan forms an extracellular matrix with Collagen and Hyaluronic acid to maintain body tissues. Proteoglycan promotes the growth of epidermal cells, and improves Type I Collagen and Hyaluronic acid and helps in maintaining healthy skin by improving skin elasticity and a decrease in the formation of wrinkles and skin aging.

They are essential for the correct structural development, organization, hydration, and functional properties of this tissue. They can interact with other matrix molecules such as collagen to form and stabilize the ECM (Extra Cellular Matrix) and helps in producing the hydrated integrated structures required for responsive cells in a healthy intact skin.

Yeast liquid

Do you know that yeast contains a high concentration of antioxidants, which are capable of neutralizing harmful free radicals that are present in the environment?

It is for this protective mechanism that not only helps to maintain the skin’s overall quality and appearance but also allows additional skin care advantages such as increased moisturizing and soothing properties, yeast liquid is one of the key components of Tama Shan.

By helping to reduce the amount of oxidative stress that occurs on the skin, liquid yeast can induce a calming effect that can help soothe and alleviate problematic skin. Furthermore, yeast extract has shown abilities in serving as a possible biosurfactant for moisturizing formulas. This allows it to boost moisturize-retention and improve overall hydration.
